Too many kids in foster care have missed the basics of reading and writing, which can lead to disengaging with the school system, joblessness, crime, drug abuse, mental health issues, youth pregnancy and a continuation of the cycle of abuse for offspring.
That’s why we host the annual ‘Star Jumps for Little Stars’ challenge. Money raised goes towards funding places in the Little Stars Learners program to give kids the in-home academic support they need to close the education gap and develop a hope-filled vision for a brighter future.
Opt for the 7 day challenge where you set your target. Or if you’re feeling like a big challenge, sign up to complete 10,000 star jumps over September to November to represent the number of kids living in Queensland foster care. Bring awareness and fundraise to support these children who desperately need our help.
